Papu's Studio — In Development
Hunted by his own kingdom. Narrated by an old man. The truth buried until the very last frame.
The Story
Black Knight Down is a cinematic third-person action game set in a brutal medieval world. You play as a knight — once loyal, now falsely accused of treason — hunted through the very lands he once protected.
The story is told entirely in past tense, narrated by an old man recounting events long past. Every scene is a memory. Every revelation recontextualises what came before. The truth is buried — and so is the man who buried it.
Black Knight Down prioritises atmosphere, narrative tension, and a sense that every moment matters.

Hunted and alone, the knight takes shelter in the forest. Light bleeds through the canopy — the only warmth left in a world turned against him.
Refugees from his own kingdom go about their lives, unaware of who hides among them. Every refuge is temporary. Every face could be the enemy.
The castle that was once home now stands as a monument to betrayal. Somewhere inside, the truth is buried — and so is the man who buried it.
Every stone, every archway, every shadow cast across cobbled ground is a deliberate act of craft. Black Knight Down reconstructs 14th century Iberian architecture and landscape with obsessive attention to detail — not as backdrop, but as living, breathing world. The Spain of a century torn by war and faith, rendered with the weight it deserves.
